MARYVILLE, MO (2010-4-21) Facing State budget cuts, all departments at Northwest Missouri State have voluntarily given back money in their budgets to the University.
Now the students are doing the same. The student senate at the school is giving $10,000 in its budget back to the school. Student senate president Erin Holm says the idea of giving back has been talked about for several months, and the Student Body thinks it's a sign of what the University stands for. Northwest president Dr. John Jasinski says he's witnessed many good things at the Campus since talk of the more than 5% State budget cut started. He says the student senate give-back is now added to that list.
