SOUTH PAGE, MO (2010-4-27) The South Page school district sets its budget for next year.

The board of education set the tax levy of $14.59 in the general fund. $0.25 less than last year. The budget for next year's South Page district is just over $1,084,000. Superintendent Gregg Cruickshank (Cruck-shank) says they've raised the instructional support levy to the maximum level %10. They've also reduced staffing costs by not filling two elementary teacher openings. South Page is also reducing costs by sharing vocational agriculture with the Bedford school district. And sharing the baseball and softball programs this summer with Essex.
