BROWNVILLE, NE (2010-4-30) Brownville area residents will get an inside understanding of a unique recycling operation during this weekend's Lyceum.
The owners of EnTire Recycling will be speaking. The company has been taking scrap tires from 4 States since 1996 and turning them into rubber crumbs, which are used for diverse purposes like artificial turf athletic fields and playground surfaces. The Phelps City, Missouri company shredded about 10,000 tons of tires last year alone that translates to about a million car tires. The process will be discussed at the Lyceum which will starts Sunday at 2 in Brownville.
