NORTHWEST MISSOURI (2010-4-21) A number of North Missouri law enforcement agencies are awarded money to help our region's "Nitro" efforts.
That stands for "Northwest Missouri inter-agency team response operation a group of police and sheriff departments working together and with the federal ATF to fight drugs and other crimes in our region. Property seized in raids have netted about $90,000 and those are being distributed to the agencies for more investigations. Receiving the funds are $15,000 going to the Cameron police, $12,000 to Maryville public safety, $10,000 to the Grundy County sheriff, $10,000 to the Trenton police, $9,000 to the Atchison County sheriff, $5,000 to the Chillicothe police, $5,000 to the Livingston County sheriff, $5,000 to the Harrison County sheriff, $2,000 to Worth County sheriff's department, and $2,000 to the Bethany police.
