GALLATIN, MO. (2010-4-26) A tighter financial picture was the topic of concern at the recent Gallatin R-5 school board meeting.
Superintendent James Ruse says he estimates the state will withhold about 4% to 5% of Gallatin's budget. Ruse says if that happens, summer school would have to be eliminated for at least one year. Employee insurance payments are also being considered to save money. A financial report was also given. The Gallatin R-5 school board has investments that are bringing in 1.4% to 1.9%.
