DAVIESS COUNTY, MO (2010-4-27) The results are in for the state audit of Daviess County.

State officials found the board of the Daviess County developmentally disabled doesn't adequately review operations of the treasurer. Auditors said monthly statements weren't being prepared and nearly $25,000 of unauthorized payments were made. The auditors also found documentation of the County's internal controls were not prepared and some budgets didn't balance. Daviess County officials say they've implemented procedures to correct the problems found by the State.
