Clean Air Lawsuits

Wayman

AMAZONIA, MO. (2010-4-2) A Northwest Missouri business and a resident are turned into the State attorney general's office for alleged violations of the State's air conservation law and regulations.

The Missouri DNR says Uehlin Quarry in Amazonia near St. Joseph failed to obtain a construction permit and submit its emissions inventory questionnaire and fees for the Quarry. And Shayn Helm has been sighted for violating Missouri's open burning restrictions. The department issued two notices of violations on Helm for openly burning tires, VHS tapes, a metal ladder, a mattress, and other items. Both Helm and the Quarry are expected to be pursued by the attorney general's office for civil penalties stemming from the reported violations.
