CHILLICOTHE, MO. (2010-4-13) Despite financial hurdles, the Chillicothe school district receives recognition for having one of the best academic programs in the State.

The R-2 district has received Missouri's department of elementary and secondary education's "Distinction in Performance" award. The district ranks in the "High" category for ACT scores, career education courses, student attendance, and other factors. This is the 7th time in the past 8 years in a row the Chillicothe R-2 district has gotten the award.
