St. Joseph, MO (2009-05-13) The popular Parties on the Parkway series begins in St. Joseph tomorrow (Thursday)along the city's parkway system.

Five parties are scheduled for this summer, starting with tomorrow night's performance by "Hayseed Highway," a country and southern rock group. In addition to great music, chamber spokeswoman Natalie Redmond (red-mun) says there's a lot to love about Parties on the Parkway.

The first Party on the Parkway kicks off tomorrow (thursday) night at 5pm at Southwest Parkway and King Hill Drive. In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed until May 21st.

Parties on the Parkway will continue to be held the second Thursday of each month through September at various locations along the parkway.
