MARYVILLE, MO (2009-05-11) The lunch-time lecture series on World War 2 continues tomorrow in Maryville.
It's sponsored by the Nodaway County Historical Society, and focuses on how the war effected our families here in the midwest corners.
Joni Amthor is helping to coordinate the events and says tomorrow's program includes Historian Tom Carneal talking about war in the Pacific.
She says a special item will also be a guest speaker and veteran from Mound City sharing his experiences.
Also being shown after the lunch lecture is the movie, "The Sands of Iwo Jima." The program begins at noon at the Nodaway County Historical Society Museum. Participants are encouraged to bring their sack lunch.
