MARYVILLE, MO (2009-05-12) The Maryville City Council saves money by re-financing bonds.
At last night's City meeting Council members agreed to re-finance the water and sewer revenue bonds from 1999.
Based on the deal they worked out, it will save at least 90 thousand dollars by going with the lower interest payments.
Council also approved the dates of this year's Nodaway County Fair, which involves shutting down streets around the downtown district.
The dates for the fair are July 16th through the 18th.
The City also chipped in 2 thousand dollars to the Fair Board to help with insurance costs.
Maryville Council members also appointed James Cox to the Northwest Regional Airport Board.
And they adopted a 2 dollar surcharge for those convicted in Municipal Court.
The extra income will help pay for the annual maintenance of the of the electronic fingerprinting machine the City uses.
