Gallatin Meeting

Wayman

Gallatin, MO (2009-05-13) Gallatin officials are moving forward with street improvements for this summer.

At this week's Board of Aldermen's meeting members approved the street proposal.

The hot-mix asphalt program will run through the coming months but is not to exceed 50 thousand dollars.

Board members also heard a report from Gallatin Police Chief Mark Richards on property inspections.

Richards reported his department has inspected 15 properties for code violations.

Two have been given extensions and 4 properties have been taken off the list of violators after being completely cleaned.

Gallatin also plans to spend just under 5 thousand dollars for capacity tests on three of the city's wells.

The draw down tests haven't been done since 2006.
