MARYVILLE, MO (2009-05-13) Area employers have the opportunity to attend a training session regarding employee issues this afternoon.

The Southwest Iowa Employers Council is offering the session today at one o'clock at the Shenandoah Historical Museum with guest speaker Dan Anderson.

Anderson is a chief administrative law judge and will talk about numerous employment related issues including Iowa codes and security laws and an update on the Unemployment Insurance Modernization Act.

Carol Morgan with the Iowa Workforce Development says these training sessions were started to educate employers about the issues they face.
