MARYVILLE, MO (2009-05-04) More students at Northwest Missouri State may soon be reading their textbooks online. University officials have been looking at the possibility of adding e-textbooks to the Northwest curriculum for the last year.
The feedback from students and instructors helped the University decide to go with e-textbooks accessible from the University provided notebook computers.
Project Coordinator and Assistant to the President Paul Klute (kloot) says cost savings for students won't be as great as traditional college textbook programs but the savings will still be evident.
Twenty to twenty five percent of textbooks being refreshed for the fall 2009 semester are expected to be e-textbooks.
