The recent tragedy in Boston is touching the hearts of people in the Midland Empire.
Kim Myers is a registered nurse who volunteered to head to Boston with the American Red Cross to help victims of Monday's tragedy. She said after watching the events unfold, she felt the need to go out and help. Myers said there has been some concern from her family and friends heading into the site of a terrorist attack but helping others has motivated her to action. Myers has not yet been assigned anywhere specific. She will be deployed in Boston for two weeks
