Fiery Nodaway County wreck seriously injures woman

BURLINGTON JUNCTION, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Clarinda woman was injured after a fiery Nodaway County wreck. The Patrol says it happened on 71 Highway, one mile north of Burlington Junction, at 10:40 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities say 20-year-old Carly Rahn was driving a 2009 Honda C-R-V, which crossed the center line and crashed head-on with a semi that tried to swerve out of the way. The semi would overturn and catch fire.

Despite that, the semi-driver, 50-year-old Douglas Richardson of Hopkins, wasn't injured. Rahn was taken to Mosaic in Maryville with serious injuries.
