After a one-year hiatus, the Northwest Bearcats will return to Arrowhead Stadium in 2019.

The Northwest Missouri State University Athletic Department announced Tuesday that the annual rivalry game against Pittsburg State will be played at the home of the Kansas City Chiefs on October 12 at noon.

Northwest's last game in Kansas City came in 2017 – a 24-20 win over Central Missouri. That was part of a two-game stint at Arrowhead between the Bearcats and the Mules.

The last Fall Classic between Northwest and Pittsburg State came in 2013.

The Bearcats have embraced Arrowhead Stadium over the years winning seven of their last nine meetings against the Gorillas in Kansas City.

More information on tickets and parking from the Northwest Athletic Department will be available in late June.
