Northwest pitcher lands All-Region honors

Entering into his senior season at Northwest Missouri State University, relief pitcher Trevor Dudar is receiving preseason recognition.

The 2018 MIAA leader in saves is a NCBWA Preseason Central Region Second Team selection. He is one of eight players from the MIAA to make the all-region squad.

Dudar transferred to Northwest from Midland University and made a name for himself in his first season in green and white. The Stillwater, Minnesota native posted a 2.27 ERA with 14 saves, 31 strikeouts and just 12 walks in 27 appearances during his junior season.

The Bearcats won the MIAA last year by winning 30 games for the first time since 2007.

Northwest opens the 2019 campaign Saturday in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
