Bearcat Rewind podcast to relive iconic moments in Northwest history

This Fall, KXCV-KRNW will give Northwest Missouri State University fans the chance to relive some of the greatest moments in the history of the athletic department.

Bearcat Rewind, hosted by John Coffey and Matt Tritten, will feature interviews with former players, coaches and staff members that played a role in memorable games and iconic moments at Northwest.

The first season of Bearcat Rewind will focus on the 1999 Northwest football team that won the NCAA Division 2 National Championship over Carson-Newman in four overtimes. The victory clinched back-to-back national titles for the 'Cats, and solidified the program as a powerhouse. Guests for the year will include Mel Tjeerdsma, Jim Svoboda, Adam Dorrel, Travis Miles, Joe and Kelly Quinlin, Wes Simmons, and many more.

Along with the 1999 national championship team, the 2009 Northwest championship squad will also be highlighted as they celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their title run.

The first episode will be available September 2, and new episodes will be released each Monday throughout the Fall.

Bearcat Rewind will be available on Apple PodcastsStitcher, Spotify, and KXCV.org.
