Killer Queen to perform October 4th

Killer Queen will take the stage at Saint Joseph's Missouri Theater Friday, October 4th.
Executive Director of the Performing Arts Association, Beth Sharp, says Bohemian Rhapsody was a main cause for their booking.

"The movie came out and of course I went to see the movie.  It was such a good movie and I knew that it would be a great revival for the band Queen.  However, Missouri Theater wouldn't be able to hold the actual band Queen.  So we went with the next best tribute, and that was Killer Queen."

Sharp says the band began in 1993 and became popular in London.

"They came up soon after Freddie Mercury's death.  They did it as a lark and it caught on so well and was embraced over in London that they just kept playing.  They now tour the United States at least twice a year."
