Nodaway County Fair starts tomorrow

The Nodaway County Fair runs tomorrow through Saturday evening in downtown Maryville. This year's theme is Find Your Treasure.  According to a spokesperson for the Fair, Steve Mosier, a new event for the fair is a scavenger hunt.

"People can come up here to the Admin Office and pick up a list of things and then they'll go and have Thursday, Friday, and half a day on Saturday to look for things on the list."

A cash award will be given to the person who finds all the items in the scavenger hunt. Besides the entertainment on the stage and the carnival, Mosier says a highlight of the fair each year is the local venders and food booths that are set up around the square.

"We try to open it up and people will want to bring a tent up or have a booth up on the square.  And they can just get in touch with our grounds person and get one set up that way.  Usually the square is pretty full."
