Maryville R-2 Board of Ed turns focus toward 2019-20

The Maryville R-2 Board of Education held their July meeting over the lunch hour on Wednesday. Superintendent Becky Albrecht said the majority of the meeting centered around the opening of the 2019-20 school year next month.

"It was a relatively short meeting, as July meetings usually are for us. We do a lot of business in June to clear out the fiscal year, and with the new fiscal year just opening, there's not a lot. We did go over plans and had building reports from all of our administrative teams. Basically, we're working getting buildings ready. There's a lot of cleaning and maintenance going on right now."

Albrecht added that the Maryville Board of Education set the public hearing on the 2019-2020 budget and levy for just prior to the start of their August meeting.
