Click It or Ticket Project emphasizes seat belt safety

To emphasize seat belt safety and crack down on traffic violations, Troop H of the Missouri Highway Patrol conducted the Click it or Ticket project July 14th in 15 northwest Missouri counties. The project concluded 45 citations issues, 90 warnings given, and assisted 13 motorists. Sergeant Jacob Angle says that it is critical that people wear their seat beat.

"Of all our fatalities every year, 61% of those roughly are from restraints.  So if we can get everybody convinced to wear their seatbelts, they can literally save their own lives.  And to stop and think about how many lives we could save."
