Tapps chosen to participate in AASCU leadership program

Northwest Missouri State University's School of Health Science and Wellness assistant director, Dr. Tyler Tapps, has been selected to participate in the American Association of State Colleges and Universities' Emerging Leaders Program. Tapps will be joining 24 others for the program in Washington, DC. Tapps will be attending a three and a half day seminar allowing participants to network with colleagues and understand aspects of the academy. Tapps joined Northwest faculty in 2014 and serves as an associate professor of recreation in the school of Health Science and Wellness. Tapps earned his Ph.D. in health, leisure and human performance at Oklahoma State University. Tapps holds a master's degree in recreation and bachelor's degree in corporate recreation and wellness, both from Northwest.
