St. Gregory annual rummage sale set for May 23-24

St. Gregory School in Maryville will host its annual rummage sale in the school gym on Thursday, May 23 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, May 24 from 7 a.m. to noon. St. Gregory Language Arts teacher, Amy Gastler, says the event is popular throughout the community.

"We have everything from furniture to electronics, clothing, bedding, toys, shoes, all that kind of stuff.  And it gives people in our parish a chance to kind of clean out and get rid of things."

Gastler adds that the rummage sale helps raise funds for the school's parent teacher organization.

"The PTO uses all the money they raise to buy new textbook series and chromebooks.  Currently our 4th-8th grade students are one-to-one with chromebooks and so we're trying to expand that to some of the younger grades, so each kid has their own chromebook to use throughout the year."

Donated items can be dropped off from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 3-5 p.m. Monday May 20, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday May 21, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday May 22. The rummage sale will take place Thursday, May 23 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday May 24 from 7 a.m. to noon in the St. Gregory School gym.
