Rolling Hills Library launching summer reading program

The Rolling Hills Library in St. Joseph is gearing up for their annual Summer Reading Program. This year's theme "A Universe of Stories" celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Appollo 11 moon landing with many space related programs and events. Public Relations Specialist for the Rolling Hills Library, Alan Stolfus, says that they'll have many special events including a Skype session with a NASA astronaut.

"They will be able to ask questions, how they became an astronaut, what it's like to be in the space program, talk about the challenge now to go to Mars."

Stolfus says that the program aims to cultivate a life long love for reading in children.

" We want to make this summer fun, to encourage kids to come to the library.  The more fun reading is, the more success kids will have.  The more success that they have in reading, the more reading they will want to do.  It's just a beneficial cycle all around."

People can sign up beginning Monday, May 13th. For more informations or questions, visit rhcl.org.
