Historian to talk about Jesse James

Nebraska Historian Jeff Barnes will be visiting the Lied Public Library in Clarinda later this May to discuss the legend of Jesse James. Library Director for the Lied Public Library, Andrew Hoppmann, says the program will separate fact from fiction of the legend of Jesse James and his exploits in the Midwest region.

"And normally his program focuses on Jesse James.  He spent some time in Nebraska.  But he's also willing to talk a little bit about Jesse James and his time, also not just in Nebraska, but also in Iowa as well."

The event is set for Tuesday, May 14th at 6:30 p.m. and open to the public. For questions and information one can visit the Lied Library at 100 East Garfield Street in Clarinda, or visit clarindapubliclibrary.org.
