For the 75th anniversary of D-Day, the Greater Shenandoah Historical Museum will be presenting a program called "Hometown Hero." Director of the museum, Sallie Brownlee, says the program is about a military leader from Shenandoah, Max Schneider.
"He grew up here and he was the leader of the troops going into Omaha Beach on D-Day."
The program is on Sunday, June 2nd at 2 p.m. at the Greath Shenandoah Historical Museum located at 800 West Sheridan in Shenandoah, Iowa.
