Chillicothe City Council met earlier this week

The Chillicothe City Council met earlier this week.  The agenda included preliminary discussions for repairs to Litton Road and repairs to Ryan Lane bridge which was recently damaged in a car accident.  Other items addressed included an introduction of Chillicothe's new Police Sergeant Jeremiah Grider, and a discussion and ordinance regarding regulations for medical marijuana cultivation, manufacturing and dispensaries. City Administrator Darin Chappel says the Council discussed several regulations those businesses will have to meet.

"Primarily, it was dealing with setback issues, how far away from schools, daycares and churches the council wanted these organizations to be.  So that's still an on-going discussion.  No definitive decisions have been made."

The next Chillicothe city council meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 28th.
