St. Francis Golf Classic scheduled for May 23rd

The annual St. Francis Golf Classic is scheduled for May 23rd at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course. Development Officer with the St. Francis Hospital Foundation, Megan Jennings says great community support has helped the event become one of the most successful fundraising efforts in the region.

" Everybody don't understand that health care plays such a vital and important role in our community and our region.  Everybody for 29 years has continued to come out and support this tournament whole-heartedly and we've been able to make a big impact on health care in the region because of the fundraising that happens at the tournament that day.  We try to do the best that we can just to create a great atmosphere, a great tournament, and highlight the cause for support of our local patients."

Jennings says proceeds from this year's tournament will go toward funding needs at Mosiac Medical Center-Maryville.

"This year it's going to be the cancer care and specifically the healing garden and the patient care support services that this campaign is going to be launching as well."

This year's St. Francis Classic Golf Tournament presented by Mosaic Life Care will be Thursday, May 23rd at the Mozingo Lake Golf Course.
