Spring Cultural Luncheon & Concert takes place May 2nd

The Chillicothe Area Art Council is inviting the local community to their traditional Spring Cultural Luncheon & Concert. The concert will take place at the Silver Moon Plaza in downtown Chillicothe from noon to 1 p.m. on May 2nd.  Administrator for the Chillicothe Area Art Council, Mary Lou VanDeventer says the concert will be featuring local talent from the area.

"The Chillicothe High School Jazz Band under the direction of Sarah Cavaneugh - this is a group that auditions and is chosen by Sarah.  We also feature the Central School Elementary Hornet Singer Choir and they have a new director this year, Alyssa Kapp.  The two groups will each perform about 20-25 minutes."

While the council previously provided boxed lunches, this year they are encouraging people to grab lunch from their favorite local restaurant to enjoy instead. The event is set for Thursday, May 2nd from noon to 1 p.m.
