Sneak peek at new Chillicothe children's library plans will take place April 24th

The Livingston County Library Board of Trustees in Chillicothe will give residents a sneak peek of plans for their new children's library. Library Director for Livingston County, Candy Warren, says the public can meet with the design team and discuss the addition.

"It's a come-and-go style event in the Livingston County Library Court Room. We'll have the plans there and we'll have some light refreshments and we'll have some activities.  And the design team will be there so the community can ask questions and see how the process has developed."

Warren says the new addition will appeal to children of all ages.

"I think for the children this is a place is especially for them.  This was designed of course with them completely in mind.  There's little doorways.  There's little tunnels.  And not only the young children but the teens too.  Our teens currently have a very small portion of floor space at the current library.  This will give them a lounge.  It will give them a computer lab.  It will give them the space to spread out and come hang out with their friends, too."

The sneak peek event takes place next Wednesday, April 24th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Livingston County Library Courtroom in Chillicothe.
