Resurfacing of US Route 136 to begin

The Missouri Department of Transportation has planned a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 136 that could begin as early as tomorrow.
Crews from Herzog Contracting Company will mill off the old surface and lay down new asphalt on 3.7 miles of the roadway from just east of US Route 169 to a half mile west of Route C in Albany. Motorists are asked to stay alert during construction and to watch for signs and workers. A pilot car will be used to guide vehicles through the work zone. Work is expected to be complete by the beginning of May. For more information visit modot.org or call 1-888-ASK-MODOT.
