Nodaway Chorale Spring Concert takes place Sunday, April 28th

The Nodaway Chorale will present its annual spring concert of vocal music later this month.  The theme of the concert is "Sing On."  Music Director and Executive Director of Nodaway Chorale, Jim Rash, says Sing On highlights music through several centuries.

"It's the one thing that has appeared without exception in every single culture throughout history.  So we thought how appropriate for a concert of music that we share the power and the beauty of music by presenting songs about it."

Rash adds the Chorale is composed of 40 people who are not professionals, but have a passion for singing.

"We include lawyers, writers, educators, business people, pastors, students, retirees and more.  We're pleased this time that we're going to have guest performers.  We've named them The Three Teachers.  All of them are music educators here in our area.  Lauren Carr from Maryville Middle School, Cecily Lanier from Jefferscon C123, and Vanessa Parsons from Maryville High School.  They're going to sing individual solos and then join forces with the Chorale to close the concert."

This year's Nodaway Chorale Spring Concert takes place Sunday, April 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, on 3rd and Buchanan Streets in Maryville.
