NCED will be attending RECon Conference

Representatives from the Nodaway County Economic Development Corporation will be attending the national retail conference, RECon. Every year International Council of Shopping Centers hosts RECon, one of the largest national gatherings of professionals in the retail industry linking together developers and retailers. Executive Director for Nodaway County Economic Development, Josh McKim, says the conference can be a good way for area residents to learn more about franchise opportunities.

"We think that's it's a viable option for folks that may be new to business and want to venture into it and haven't done it.  And ones who have done it for years and would like to expand and do something else would be a franchise option.  So we're trying to figure out who in our community might be interested in that.  So as we go to RECon, we have that list with us that we can try to connect people with the right opportunities."

McKim says anyone wishing to be included on a list he'll be taking to RECon should contact the Nodaway County Economic Development office in Maryville. The RECon conference will be held May 19th through the 22nd in Las Vegas.
