A Maryville, Missouri person is in serious condition after a vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Maryville. According to Missouri Highway Patrol, 50-year-old Jimmy Lake was traveling southbound on US 71 where he traveled off the east side of the roadway then over an embankment and struck a concrete culvert when it came to a rest on its wheels facing south. Lake was transported by life net to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. The crash was assisted by Nodaway County Sheriff's Department, Maryille PD, Maryville Fire, Life Net and Barnard Fire.
