Maryville City Council conducted annual re-organization meeting

The Maryville City Council conducted their annual re-organization during Monday night's meeting re-appointing Councilwoman Rachel Martin as Mayor and Councilman Ben Lipiec as Mayor Pro-Tem.
Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says the council approved an agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission to use Small Transportation Urban funds for the South Main Mill and Overlay Project.

"...which will overlay obviously South Main from Lincoln to Halsey.  This is an area of roadway that fell into disrepair over the course of the winter and critical to north-south traffic to the community."

The Maryville City Council also approved the results of last week's election including the passage of the Use Tax proposal imposing a 2.375% sales tax on on-line purchases and the election of Tye Parsons to the City Council.
