Livingston County Library will host a Social Security presentation

The Livingston County Library will host a Social Security presentation next week as part of National Financial Literacy Month and Social Security Month. Library Adult Services Coordinator Monica Holmer says the event will feature a representative of the Chillicothe Social Security office.

"They are going to give a social security one-on-one.  It's more aimed at people that aren't yet collecting social security benefits because you are going to learn things like the different types of benefits you can get, how to enrol for Medicare, things like that.  So it is kind of geared toward anybody that's not yet received benefits.  Although if you already are receiving social security benefits but don't have an online social security account, they will be going over how to get that account set up also.  That could of use for people that are already receiving them."

The presentation takes place Tuesday, April 16th at 10 a.m. at the Livingston County Library at 450 Locust Street in Chillicothe. For more information call the library at 660-646-0547.
