I-35 repairs to begin today

Pavement repairs on I-35 are planned to begin today. Communications specialist for the Missouri Department of Transportation Jenna Keyes says sections south of Bethany will experience intermittent lane closures.

"There's going to be some pavement repairs ongoing on I-35 over the next few weeks south of Bethany.  They are going to be doing some intermittent lane closures in both the north and south bound lanes of I-35 doing some concrete repair and replacement.  There between US Route 136 at Bethany and Route C near Pattonsburg."

Keyes recommends travelers factor in a little extra time for slowdown.

"Folks may see a little bit of a delay just kind of depending.  But it would be only one lane closure so traffic will still be flowing through.  Just depending on the amount of traffic, there may be a little bit of a slowdown."

Work is expected to continue until mid to late April. For more information about the project, call 1-888-ASK-MODOT, or visit www.mo.org/northwest.
