Election Results for area counties

Nodaway County:

In the West Nodaway Board of Education race, James M Graham, Amanda Walker and Scott Conn were elected to the three seats on the board.
On Question 1 on the Burlington Junction ballot that issue passed with 67 percent in favor and 33 percent against.
On Question 2, 53 percent voted against compared with 47 percent in favor.
The Street Levy for the city of Barnard passed by a 10-1 vote.

Atchison County:

Election Results in Atchison County says the Atchison County Economic Development Sales Tax Proposition passed with 452 yes votes and 115 no votes.
In the Fairfax R-3 School Board race, Joshua Lee Oswald and Michael Jay Lewis were elected outdistancing Patrick Allyn Miller.
The Tarkio Special Road District levy passed with 131 yes votes to 64 no votes.

Buchanan County:

The St. Joseph School District Levy increase proposal passed with 64 percent of voters casting ballots in favor compared to 36 percent against. The levy increase is expected to raise six point five million dollars a year for the disrict with a five-year sunset clause on the proposal. The levy increase will help pay for increasing operational costs, attracting and retaining teachers, and safety upgrades to district buildings.
The St. Joseph School Board election saw Tami Pasley and Bryan Green re-elected to the board of education.
In the Mid-Buchanan Board of Education, Chad Eddins and Cindy Rumpf were elected.
The Buchanan R-4 Board of Education election saw Pamela K Browning and Doug Hickman picked up the most votes.
The Buchanan R-4 District Proposition Tigers received over 82 percent yes votes.

Worth County:

In the Grant City Mayor's Race, Debbie Roach defeated Phil Hanks by an 81-48 vote.
In the Worth County Temp Levy, yes votes were 251 and no votes 100.
In the Worth County Temp Levy One issue, 239 yes votes and 91 no votes.
The Worth County 911 vote saw 239 yes votes and 91 no votes.
In the Worth County Board of Education race, Rodney Brown and Ashley Rush were elected to the two seats up for vote outdistancing James Jim Larson.

Holt County:

In the Mound City Board of Education race, in a close election, Jeremy Lewis and Robert Gibson were elected in a race among six challengers.  Lewis picked up 25.36 percent of the vote with Gibson 24.78 percent. Just two votes separated the top two vote getters.
In the Maitland Mayors race, Donnie Kirk defeated Mark Russell by a 58 percent to 39 percent vote margin.
