Area educators and students recognized at 91st MO FFA Convention

The 91st Missouri State Future Farmers of America Convention was held this past weekend and several area students and educators were recognized.

Assistant Professor of Agronomy at Northwest Missouri State University, Tom Zweifel of Maryville, was named an Honorary State FFA Degree recipient.

Caden Bailey of Maryville received the second-place Missouri FFA Agricultural Mechanics Repair and Maintenance Placement Proficiency Award.

Brooklyn Bennett of the South Nodaway FFA Chapter placed fifth in the advanced prepared public speaking leadership development event.

Jessica Miller of South Nodaway received a Missouri Agribusiness Academy certificate.

Claire Galbraith of the Jefferson FFA Chapter placed second in the Division One prepared public speaking leadership development event.

Dakota Auffert of the Northeast Nodaway FFA Chapter as the Area 1 Start Farmer.

Ashlyn Laffey of the Maryville FFA received the Missouri Youth in Agriculture  scholarship.
