The Albany Board of Aldermen approved two ordinances at its meeting Tuesday. Albany City Administrator Derek Brown says the first of the two ordinances was an amendment to a contract with Advanced Disposal Services.
"Basically there are a contract hawler for residential curb-side garbage collection. We extended that agreement for three additional years. We were coming out of a three-year agreement with them at the end of April, so we extended that for an additional three years."
The second of the ordinances was a lease agreement for farmland near the airport with resident Brandon Holcomb. The board also authorized the sale of a surplus 2001 Chevrolet Pickup.
