KC man seriously injured in accident

A Kansas City, Missouri man is in serious condition after running into the back of a semi Monday afternoon. According to the report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, 40-year-old Mark Ramers was traveling west on U.S. 36 one mile east of Mooresville in Livingston county when he struck the rear of the trailer. His vehicle came to rest in the driving lane facing southwest on its wheels. The semi came to a controlled stop on the north shoulder of westbound 36. Ramers was transported by Chillicothe EMS to Hedrick Medical Center then air lifted to St. Luke's on the plaza. The crash was investigated by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Livingston County Sheriff's Department and Livingston County EMS
