Land transfer the focus of 'Map of My Kingdom' play coming to Brownville

The Center of Rural Affairs in Brownville, Nebraska is producing the play "Map of My Kingdom" next month. The play focuses on farmland transfer. Project Associate for the Center for Rural Affairs Sandra Renner says this tackles the critical issue of land transferring.

"One woman play told from the viewpoint of a lawyer and mediator of land transition disputes.  She shares stories of how farmers and landowners she's worked with over the years approach their land successions.  Some successfully and some not successfully. Some people literally killed each other over it. Others almost came to blows.  So this play is one that gets folks thinking about their future legacy and what they want to happen with the farm."

The play "Map of My Kingdom" will be held Saturday, March 2nd beginning  at 7 p.m. at the Brownville Village Theater in Brownville, Nebraska.
