21st annual MCCA meeting will be January 28th

The Marvyille Citizens for Community Action (MCCA) is hosting the 21st annual meeting of Clubs, Organizations, Resource Agencies and Volunteers on Monday, January 28th. This event will help organizations give a short overview of the impact of their club. Executive Director for the Maryville Chamber of Commerce Lilly White says there is a variety of organizations that attend this event.

"We have every club from new clubs such as the Aquatics Club is planning on attending to groups like our City comes and gives a little spiel. We normally have the Public Arts Committee.  Of course the Chamber of Commerce gives a small report.  The hospital, all of our foundations. It is a very well-attended event and it really helps kick off the new year."

White says this is an annual event to kick off the New Year.

"About one time in January we have a really big lunch where we make soup and have every group come and give a short spiel because there are so many groups that we can only provide about a minute for each group in 2019. Then also tell why their club is incorporated and around in our area, so hopefully they can get some more membership and get help with whatever is going on."

To RSVP to this event contact the Marvyille Chamber of Commerce at 660-582-8643 or chamber@maryvillechamber.com by Thursday, January 24th.
