Bearcats picked 9th in Street & Smith's Preseason Top 25

Northwest Missouri State University finds itself in the top 10 in the first top 25 ranking from a national publication ahead of the 2018 football season.

The Street & Smith's College Football Yearbook selected the Bearcats as the ninth ranked team in the nation in its NCAA Division II Football Preseason Top 25.

The 'Cats are coming off a 9-3 campaign and playoff appearance in Rich Wright's first season as head coach.

Northwest returns a pair of All-MIAA First Team performers from a season ago -- senior defensive end Austen Eskew and senior linebacker Ben Althoff.

The 2018 season opens August 30 in Maryville as Northwest hosts Missouri Western in a 7pm kickoff.
