Maryville Council approves update on Concrete Repair Project

The Maryville City Council met in regular session this week. Maryville City Manager Greg McDanel says the Council approved an update on the 2018 Concrete Repair Project.

"The City Council approved a change order to the contract of JD Bishop Construction, LLC. for the 2018 Concrete Repair Project.  This is an effort to provide another $50,000 in street repairs essentially for 8,000 square feet of deteriorated concrete along Aurora Avenue.  This comes in addition to nearly $3000 in concrete repairs and $1.5 million in asphalt overlay repairs completed this summer."

McDanel adds the additional work on the project should begin soon.

"Hopefully the contractor will be able to get out there within the next few weeks before the winter temperatures arrive completely and get this section of concrete repaired."
