Maryille School Board approves the purchase of new equipment

Maryville Board of Education met last week. One item on the agenda was new equipment. Superintendent Becky Albrecht says they have qualified through the technical school for grants to purchase the new equipment.

"Those are grants with the government in which the government pays 75% of the cost of the equipment that we order and we pick up the tab on the other 25%.  And that we purchased a lift device which is upgraded.  We actually have the equipment but it's rather old so we upgraded the equipment more to industry standard.  It's a lift and the appropriate attachments and accessories to change tires on the line vehicles."
