Private pesticide applicator training set

The University of Missouri Agricultural Extension Dept. will hold private pesticide applicator training for Holt, Atchison, and Nodaway counties. Regional Agronomist Wayne Flanary says this is an opportunity for growers to update their safety training.

The Holt County Ag Update will be held at the T.J. Hall Building in Oregon on Jan. 25; the Atchison County Ag Update will be held at the Atchison County Extension office in Rock Port on Jan. 30; and the Nodaway County Ag Update will be held at the Nodaway County Administration Center in Maryville. If you have an old manual, please bring it to the meeting. All meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Following applicator training, the Agricultural Extension staff will present "Tips to reduce Input Costs without Reducing Yield," "Dicamba Injury and Insurance," and "Minerals and Vitamins for Beef Cattle: Meeting Requirements Without Breaking the Bank."

For more information, contact Wayne Flanary at 660-446-3724.
