Maryville gets into the holiday spirit

Maryville Parks and Recreation is hosting several events to usher in the holiday season to Maryville. The events begin with a Christmas Craft fair at the Maryville Community Center this Saturday. The craft fair will feature over 60 vendors, a "letters to Santa" area, kettle corn, hot chocolate, and apple cider. Maryville Parks and Recreation Special Event and Marketing Manager Jordyn Swalley says it's the perfect time to get a Christmas gift for a loved one.

The next event will be the Winter Wonderland in Franklin Park. Winter Wonderland opens Dec. 1, which coincides with the Chamber's Christmas Parade. The Wonderland will feature vendor booths, music, snacks and games.

On Dec. 9 Maryville Parks and Recreation will host its second annual Breakfast in Whoville event. The event will feature breakfast, story time, a photo op with Santa, and an appearance by the Grinch. Registration is open until Dec. 8 and participants must pre-register in order to attend.

Swalley says each of these events is a great way to bring the holiday spirit to Maryville
